A bouncer, also known as a doorman or door supervisor, is a security professional who is responsible for maintaining order and safety at venues such as nightclubs, bars, and events. Bouncers are often the first point of contact for patrons and are tasked with ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed entry.

A bouncer's duties are to provide security, to check legal age and drinking age, to refuse entry for intoxicated persons, and to deal with aggressive behavior or disobedience with statutory or establishment rules. They are civilians and they are often hired directly from a security firm. ARS LTD
